Southwest Family Advocacy Fund Raising Drive
Southwest Family Advocacy Fund Raising Drive
The Women's Giving Circle of PebbleCreek (TWGC) is inviting not only its members but the entire PebbleCreek community to participate in a fundraising drive for the Southwest Family Advocacy Center . SWFAC is a child- and family-focused, facility-based program in which representatives from many disciplines, including law enforcement, child protection, prosecution, mental health, medical and victim advocacy, work together to investigate and prosecute child abuse cases, sexual assault, domestic violence and elder abuse. Children under the age of 18 are removed from dangerous situations by law enforcement and brought to SWFAC where they are comforted and found a safe place to stay. Upon their arrival, an item from our Wish List is given to comfort them, which they can take with them upon leaving the facility.
SWFAC is requesting donations for new balls, art supplies, science kits and journals for older children through early teens. You can click this link and order your donation on Amazon at SWFAC Amazon Wish List. TWGC will be collecting items July 1st - 31st. All items will be delivered to Lori Dougherty, Volunteer Committee Chair of TWGC. Our committee will deliver the items in the first week of August .

2026: 2000 fabric bags filled with period products are created each year and distributed to West Valley school districts, including Avondale, Litchfield Park and Agua Fria High School District.
TWGC supports the Agua Fria Food & Clothing Bank, the Owl's Closet at Agua Fria High School and St. Mary's Food bank with donations as well as volunteer time.
Plarn Mats for the Homeless
Plarn Mats for the Homeless
Members meet regularly to create more than 200 plastic 3' by 6' mats from plastic bags. The finished mats are distributed to Agua Fria Food & Clothing Bank and Andre House for people experiencing homelessness.
Each year TWGC members join thousands of participants in the West Valley American Heart Association Heart Walk, demonstrating our community’s commitment to improving heart health and supporting lifesaving research.
Date with a Plate is the Women’s Giving Circle’s signature fundraiser, and this year’s event was a remarkable success – raising $37,000 for the Agua Fria Food & Clothing Bank.
